Decorreu em Stavanger, na Noruega, de 17-25 Junho, a Conferência Internacional de Jovens Ambientalistas Tunza 2008 com a presença de 700 jovens e 300 professores, representando mais de 100 países.
Young Agenda 21 é uma fundação ambiental sediada em Stavanger, Noruega. Tem como função organizar actividades ambientalistas. Foi fundada segundo os objectivos da Agenda 21, um documento que resultou do "Rio Earth Summit" (1992).
Segundo Agenda 21, os jovens devem estar envolvidos em decisões que dizem respeito ao seu futuro ambiental, e as suas ideias devem ser apresentadas aos governos das sociedades actuais.
A Fundação supervisiona a Conferência Internacional Bienal para jovens na região de Stavanger, e outras conferências e actividades sobre questões ambientais destinadas a jovens e adultos que trabalhem com crianças, nomeadamente Professores.

United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in collaboration with the Young Agenda 21 Foundation of Norway hosted the 2008 Tunza International Children’s Conference on the Environment which bringed together 1,000 people (700 children and 300 chaperones), between 10 and 14 years, from over 100 countries.
Young Agenda 21 is an environmental foundation based in Stavanger, Norway. It is not a member organisation, but an organiser of various environmental activities. It was founded upon the objectives outlined in Agenda 21 - a document resulting from the 'Rio Earth Summit' in 1992.
According to Agenda 21, children are to be involved in decisions concerning their future environment, and their views are to be made clear to the authorities in today's society.
The foundation supervises a large biannual international environmental conference for children in the Stavanger region, and also smaller conferences and other activities that raise environmental awareness among children and adults who work with children, mainly school teachers.
The foundation was established in 2000 by Rogaland County Council, Stavanger, Sandnes, Sola and Gjesdal Councils, Statoil, Lyse, IVAR and Environment Northern Seas Foundation. The office is at the International House in Stavanger.
The portuguese scientist Dr. José Xavier was invited as a conferenciste. Between the 700 children, there was no Portuguese students.
