Today more than 370 cities and towns in more than 35 countries will take part in Earth Hour turning off its lights for the year's Earth Hour campaign.

There is no Portuguese city on this campaign, unfortunally! But Portuguese people who live in Porto will swicht off the lights for one hour at home and they will keep tie lights in the windows as sign of his commitment to Earth Hour.

SYDNEY, Australia - Sydney's iconic Opera House and Harbour Bridge went dark Saturday night as the world's first major city turned off its lights for this year's Earth Hour, a global campaign to raise awareness of climate change.

Sydney is the first of more than 370 cities and towns in more than 35 countries from Fiji to Ireland to Canada to take part in Earth Hour, organizers said.
