The 2015 edition of European Mobility Week's Best Practice Guide has been released, detailing the activities of the ten finalists and shortlisted cities for the 2014 European Mobility Week Award.
The guide looks at the activities of each of the cities in detail, putting them in a thematic context such as walking, cycling, and electric mobility.
To raise awareness for air pollution during European Mobility Week, some European cities will ban the use of cars on the road.
The theme 2015 is : Choose. Change.Combine.
A Car-Free Day encourages people for all over the world to give up their cars for a day. Organized events are held in some cities and countries.
September 22 is World Car Free Day. The event "promotes improvement of mass transit, cycling and walking, and the development of communities where jobs are closer to home and where shopping is within walking distance".
